Liverpool Beatles Tours - Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Why should I choose Liverpool Beatles Tours? Aren't all tours the same?

A. Not all tours are the same. Our tours have been designed by Beatles author David Bedford whose book “Liddypool” is the book most other guides use. Unfortunately, we can't guarantee that accuracy with other tours. We have been established since 2003 and are one of the oldest established tour companies in Liverpool.

Q. I am visiting Liverpool on a cruise ship. Can I book a private Beatles tour with you?

A. We provide private Beatles tours for many visitors from the cruise ships that visit Liverpool. We can meet you by the Liverpool Cruise Terminal and take you on whichever Beatles tour you choose, and either take you back to the ship, or drop you off in the town to enjoy some of our great visitor attractions, like museums, restaurants or the famous Cavern Club.

Q. What time do your Beatles tours start?

A. All of our Beatles tours are private to you, so we work around you and can start at a time to suit you. We may suggest a start time so that you can make the most of your tour.

Q. Where do I have to wait for the Beatles tour to start?

A. Don't worry about finding us. We will meet you at a convenient place for you, like your hotel, the train station or cruise ships.

Q. I am staying in London and want to make a day trip to Liverpool. Will I have enough time for a Beatles tour and where would I meet you?

A. The train journey from London to Liverpool only takes about two and a half hours. We can meet you at the train station and begin your Beatles tour, seeing as much of Liverpool as possible, and either take you back to the train station, or leave you somewhere in Liverpool that you want to see, with directions on getting back to the station. We do recommend spending at least a couple of days in Liverpool if you can.

Q. Which is the right Beatles tour for me?

A. A good question! We have Beatles tours that cater for every visitor, whether you've been a Beatles fan all your life, or you are just visiting Liverpool and want to know more. If you want to experience the highlights of The Beatles' Liverpool tour, then the 3 Hour or 4 Hour Beatles Tour if perfect for you. With the 4 Hour Beatles Tour, you get the option to visit the Casbah Coffee Club or take a trip on the famous Ferry 'Cross the Mersey.

All ticket prices are included in the tour price. You can also do the Beatles Magical History Tour, which includes some of the history of Liverpool too.

If you are a more serious Beatles fan, then you should at least do the 4 Hour Beatles Tour with a visit to the Casbah Coffee Club, which is a must for any Beatles fan. There you will see the true birthplace of The Beatles which is untouched since 1962.

However, if this is your trip of a lifetime or a Beatles pilgrimage for you, the serious Beatles fan, then you really need to do one of the All Day Tours.

As well as visiting the most famous places, like Penny Lane and Strawberry Field and the Beatles childhood homes, you will.visit the Casbah Coffee Club and the Beatles Story museum, plus go inside the childhood homes of John Lennon, Me dips, and Paul McCartney, Forthlin Road. The homes are run by the National Trust, who have restored the houses to look like they did in the 1950s when John Lennon and Paul McCartney were growing up. This day trip really is a day in the life that you will never forget.

If you want to go even deeper into Beatles history, then you will need the one of the VIP tours, or the LIDDYPOOL tour with Beatles historian and author David Bedford, whose book, "Liddypool: Birthplace of The Beatles" is the definitive, and only, book about the Beatles and Liverpool. David will accompany you on the tour and test your Beatles knowledge to the extreme. And, if you have the time to stay in Liverpool, then we can schedule the Beatles trip of a lifetime from 1 day to 5 days!

Your other alternative is to design your own bespoke Beatles tour in Liverpool. Just tell us where you would like to see, or even who your favourite Beatle is, and we can design you your own Beatles tour.

We really can go Here, There, and Everywhere, on one or more days - a long as you want.

Q. How many people is the Beatles tour designed for?

A. We can provide Beatles tours for one person, a couple, a family, right up to groups who need a coach.

Q. What type of vehicle do we travel in?

A. We only use the best vehicles for our Beatles tours, like our Mercedes Viano with 8 seats, luxury saloons, with air-conditioning, so you can ride in comfort. Make sure if you are comparing tour companies that you check on the transport provided.

Q. Do we have a chance to get out of the vehicle for photos or to explore Liverpool?

A. One of the advantages of our private Beatles tours is that we stop at many famous Beatles sites around Liverpool, and get out to take photographs and really immerse yourself in the Beatles Liverpool. You can't experience the real Beatles Liverpool through the window of a bus. On all of our tours, we make stops so that you can experience the real Liverpool; you can walk in the footsteps of the Beatles.
