THE LIDDYPOOL BEATLES TOUR
OF LIVERPOOL
THE LIDDYPOOL 6 HOUR BEATLES TOUR
We have designed a special tour for Beatles fans, based around the best-selling book by David Bedford, “Liddypool: Birthplace of The Beatles”, and his new book “The Fab one hundred and Four”, and David will accompany you on the tour.
We want to take you on a chronological tour through the very genesis of John’s first group, initially named The Blackjacks, but then known as The Quarrymen, right through until Ringo joined them in August 1962.
We will take you to Woolton, to see where John and his friends grew up; to St. Peters’ Church where John and Paul met; to Wilson Hall where George played “Raunchy” as his audition to John.
You will also see where Stuart Sutcliffe lived; where Pete Best grew up in Hayman’s Green and where the Casbah Coffee Club was based. You will also learn about lesser known musicians in the story, like Tommy Moore, Norman Chapman, Ken Brown and many more.
We finish at Mathew Street and The Cavern Club.
Of course, we won’t leave out their homes and schools, plus places like Strawberry Field and Penny Lane. All fees are included in the tour price.
The tour is 6 hours of fun filled Beatles history for the serious Beatles’ fan!
